Ukrainian entrepreneurs learned to determine the cost and price of goods in export transactions

Consultants of the International Trade Center conducted a training “Calculation of product cost and pricing in export transactions“. The event was held at the conference hall of the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 13.

The training lecturer was Walid Gaddas, an international expert on the analysis and development of value-added chains of agricultural and agrarian enterprises.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of fruit and vegetable production from Kherson, Mykolayiv and Odessa oblasts visited the training. These are Euroservisgroup, Vladam, Nash product, Gorikh Prychornomorya, Rozodolne, Enogray, Kurin, Elitne nasinnya and others.

During the day, entrepreneurs improved skills of promoting their product to the market through the right pricing strategies. Walid Gaddas described what is the difference between the concepts of “cost” and “price”, which may lead to unsuccessful calculations, what are fixed and variable costs, the break-even point, which are customs duties and quotas for Ukrainian goods in the European market, and about features of export credit insurance and international commercial terms.

The participants of the training were able to practice in calculating the price and cost for different groups of goods, as well as ask the lecturer about the peculiarities of pricing their products. Entrepreneurs also had the opportunity to receive individual consultations after the training. Walid Gaddas will hold them in Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa.
