Gennady YUDIN, Vice President of the Ukrainian Nut Association:

– Our delegation consisted of representatives of the largest industrial gardens of Ukraine. In this event we took part for the first time. The ITC Project in Ukraine helped us in the organization of visit. The main purpose of our participation in this trade show was to look on the main players in the region and understand how to enter this market. We know that there are very high quality requirements in this market. Therefore, we are ready to grow such product.

We felt the effective support from ITC consultants and remained very pleased with the participation in the Gulfood 2019. It is the organization of the trip, professional advices, and translation assistance. There was a nice atmosphere at the our collective stand thanks to the coordinated work of the Project team.

This trade show is a bridge for participation in further events, where we already know how to present ourselves. This year we will try to prepare lots of quality walnuts and hazelnuts for export to this region.

Oleksandr ORIEKHIN, head of the Demetralex farmer:

– I am pleased to take part in Gulfood 2019. Our visit was well organized. We had a very good notable booth, convenient places for communication and presentation our products.

During the first two days of I visited almost twenty potential customers. Six of them are ready to continue the dialogue on the supply greenery and other our products. During the next days exhibitors visited our booth more actively. Our product was also interested. We’ve installed more useful contacts. In general, I’ve got about ten real contacts.

I think our preparing has played a big role. The catalog and promotional materials have been translated into Arabic. Also, ITC consultants gave good advices. The result of the trade show is positive. And for the future I’ll think about new product – frozen greenery.

Oleg KOZHAN, director of  ICE Zaporizhzhya LLC:

– We visited Gulfood for the first time. The trade show impressed us: a lot of participants from different countries and continents. We managed to take about sixty contacts, and with dozens of companies held preliminary negotiations. These are companies from Europe, Africa, Asia.

We are engaged in frozen vegetables, fruits and berries. At the Gulfood this product has a steady interest. We understood some of the world’s trends, as well as quality requirements, packaging and other parameters. We will adjust to new markets, change production. For the next year we plan to participate in the Gulfood with samples of products and prepare well.

Olena ZSLAVSKA, Export and International Marketing Project Manager, Olshansky SM:

– We are pleased with the professional work of the ITC team in organizing and supporting our company at the Gulfood. This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs, when part of the costs and organizational issues takes on the Project.

The trade show is huge. It was very nice to participate at the collective Ukrainian stand. We’ve worked with a list of contacts, established many business ties that have already begun to work. Exhibitors are mostly open-minded business people who are ready to listen, negotiate, and continue cooperation.

We grow a dogwood. This is a niche product, but there is some demand for it. We’ll continue to interact with this market and will offer interesting positions. I think that after this trade show we will activate our export work and we will have supplies to new markets.
