ITC partners will present their products at Gulfood tradeshow

The world’s largest international food tradeshow Gulfood will take place in Dubai on February 18-22. This year, the small and medium-sized business from the South of Ukraine will be represented at the tradeshow.

According to the national manager of the ITC project in Ukraine Olena Kolomoytseva, a lot of work was done during the past year so that Ukrainian fruit growers got their own stand at the Gulfood and were able not only to visit the event, but also to present their products.

“Gulfood is a prestigious exhibition which many representatives of the food industry want to take part. Some Ukrainian companies have been taking part in this exhibition for several years. But there were mainly big companies. This year our partners from Kherson, Mykolayiv and Odessa regions, who represent small and medium business, will have their stand on Gulfood. This is good news for us, because Ukrainian farmers have the chance to establish contacts with potential partners and expand their sales markets. Moreover, the market in the Middle East is quite promising for Ukrainian producers of vegetables and fruits” said Olena Kolomoytseva.

Commenting on the participation of Ukrainian companies in the Gulfood, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva stated that those who would like to participate in an exhibition of such a level as Gulfood or BIOFACH from the Ukrainian agro-sector are becoming more and more.

“If before the CCI or other organizers could not convince companies to go there, now we have queues from those who want to be among the lucky exhibitors of the national stand,” – wrote Trofimtseva on her Facebook page.

Several partners of the ITC will take part in the Gulfood: Plodoovochevyi kombinat “Kherson”, “Nash product”, “Agropatriot”, “Vladam”, “Agat-Pivden” and others. ITC partners will have an intensive program in Dubai. In addition to the Gulfood tradeshow, farmers will hold a series of B2B meetings with the support of ITC consultants, visit the local wholesale market for fruits and vegetables, and take part in a briefing organized by the Export Promotion Office.

Gulfood is the world’s largest specialized food and beverage exhibition. About 5000 companies from more than 120 countries participate in the Gulfood. The exhibitors present their products at the DWTC (Dubai World Trade Centre). The area of the exhibition space is 1 million square meters. According to officials, the last Gulfood was visited by nearly 100,000 visitors from more than 170 countries.
