Training on certification “Modern food safety system”

May 30-31 in the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place the training on certification GlobalG.A.P. for farmers “Modern food safety system”.

The participants of the training, which was an even of the project of the International Trade Center (ITC) ” Linking Ukrainian SMEs in the Fruits and Vegetables Sector to Global and Domestic Markets and Value Chains”, were producers of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, ITSC’s project consultants, trade specialists of Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Igor Chechitko, the certification expert, presented the GlobalG.A.P standard system, explained how primary agricultural producers should prepare for the audit, and what benefits they can obtain through certification. He also persuaded the farmers that GlobalG.A.P. – is the possibility of stable sales of manufactured products in local markets through trading networks and a chance to enter the markets of other countries, in particular, the EU.
