Invitation for entrepreneurs to take part in the forum Agroport South Kherson 2018

From July 26 to July 28, the International Forum for the Development of Agriculture and the Agroindustrial Exhibition of Machinery and Technologies AGROPORT South Kherson 2018 will be held on the territory of the International Airport “Kherson”.

The main topics of the forum are the investment potential of the South of Ukraine, logistics of agricultural products, irrigation, vegetable growing, horticulture, winemaking, greenhouse production, organic production, value-added chains.

Consultants of the ITC project “Linking Ukrainian SMEs in the Fruits and Vegetables Sector to Global and Domestic Markets and Value Chains” organize several events for producers and processors of fruit and vegetable products.

Firstly it’s a training on “Export to France: the ways and the keys to success“. The training will take place on July 26, from 10:00 to 12:00 in the hall of the airport “Kherson” №2.

The French market is characterized by a high culture of consumption, stable traditions and strong competition from both local producers and other foreign suppliers. Our training is aimed to answer the following questions:

• How does the food market work in France? Review of modern trends
• For what products is a place on the shelves of French supermarkets?
• Major sales channels. How to find a partner in France?
• How to obtain the necessary certificates?
• Which marketing strategy to choose?
• Specificity of cooperation with French partners. How to build long-term partnerships?

On July 27, we will hold a roundtable on the topic “Realities of Ukrainian exports in the fruit and vegetable sector: experience and practical advice from producers in the South of Ukraine.”

The event will be held from 10:00 to 13:00 in the hall of the airport “Kherson” №3.

The roundtable will focus on the results of two years of work and the participation of pilot companies in a number of profile business and exhibitions in the countries of the CIS, Europe, Asia.

With partners of ITC project, our partner institutions and organizations we will discuss the prospects and obstacles for the Ukrainian supply of goods to foreign markets:

• What prevents exporters at legislative, organizational and purely practical levels?
• What is the way the exporter has to deal with the exchange of business cards on the stand and signing a contract?
• At what stage is it necessary to plan export activities, and what will be needed between the export decision and the first delivery?
• For what kind of assistance are the entrepreneurs waiting for from the authorities and organizations, which are called to promote business activity at the regional level?
