Ukrainian agrarians presented their products at the international trade show in Poland

The international trade show of food industry Polagra Food 2018 was held In Poznan last week. With the support of the International Trade Center (ITC) project in Ukraine, farmers from South Ukraine took part in the trade show.

The national Ukrainian stand was presented by companies Euroservisgroup, Vladam, Nash product, Gorikh Prychornomorya, Rozodolne, Enogray, ICEBERRY, Shyroke. Heads of agricultural departments from regional state administrations (Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa) also visited Polagra Food with Ukrainian delegation. Agrarians presented their own products and economic potential, as well as participated in a number of work and cultural events.

On the first day of the trade show the stand of the International Trade Center, by the invitation of the partner of ITC – Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was visited by Mr. Ryshard Kupidura, the Deputy Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Poznan. He discussed with the representatives of the ITC project and the authorities the current state and prospects of cooperation at the regional level, examined Ukrainian stand and invited Ukrainian delegates to visit one of the largest Ukrainian cultural events announced in Poland this year – the Ukrainian Spring Festival.

On the second day of Polagra Food trade show, the President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Exporters, Importers and Cooperation, Mr. Andrzej Liko, came to the Ukrainian stand. For over 23 years, the Chamber has been operating in favor of Polish and foreign companies of different fields, but its management is focused on supporting the development of international cooperation, the growth of exports and imports, search of business partners in Poland and abroad, help domestic and foreign investors. Mr. Liko met with Ukrainian stand, received contact and business information for transferring it to potentially interested Polish companies. Mr. Liko’s particular interest has triggered the ITC’s project in terms of effective interaction between international organizations and authorities with local businesses, and the assistance of organizations designed to promote international trade.

The project “Linking Ukrainian SMEs in the Fruits and Vegetables Sector to Global and Domestic Markets and Value Chains” aims to help Ukrainian enterprises from Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions to integrate into domestic and global value chains and access new markets, with a focus on the EU. The Project is funded by the Government of Sweden and the International Trade Centre.
