The introductory training “The main stages of the production of dried fruits”

The ITC project “Linking Ukrainian SMEs in the Fruits and Vegetables Sector to Global and Domestic Markets and Value Chains” invites Ukrainian entrepreneurs interested in the production of dried fruits to the introductory training “The main stages of the production of dried fruits”, which will take place on December 12, 2022 at 3 p.m. on the ZOOM.

During the webinar we will talk about:

  • the main stages of dried fruit production – receiving raw materials, storage conditions, sorting by size and color, drying in the sun and mechanically;
  • roll production – fruit maceration, processing into pulp, drying, cutting into strips, packaging
  • laboratory control (humidity level and SO2).

The speaker of the event is Mr. Anton Erweee, owner and chief operations officer of the private company At Source Handmade Foods (Pty) Ltd. (South Africa). He has a master’s degree in the specialty “Production of dried fruits”. The company produces traditional and soft dried fruits, fruit rolls, bars and snacks from pressed dried fruits. The company exports to EU countries, and since 2020 it has started supplying products to the retail chains Costco (USA) and Waitrose (Great Britain), which are known for their requirements to suppliers.

During the event, you will be able to ask the speaker questions related to the technology of production and storage of dried fruits and fruit rolls.
